Abstract
The article deals with the subject of the 1921 Moscow-Kars Treaty (1921) and the issue of territorial integrity in Northern Azerbaijan and presents a collected overview of Azerbaijani and Russian sources. Aspects studied include the political diplomatic relations between the Soviet Union and the Republic of Turkey and the degree of importance assigned by Turkey to the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan; and the efforts and other issues in this regard were broadly considered, based on a quantity of archival records. Also touched on in this article are such leading issues visa-vis the Moscow-Kars Treaty as the Armenian position and the actions taken by the Soviet government and Armenia.
